ABOUT
In the early ‘90s, Penny Flanagan was one one-half of the critically acclaimed folk-pop duo, Club Hoy. She has also released two albums and one EP as a solo artist.
Penny has written two novels and one children’s novel and her short stories have been published in Imago, Meanjin, Picador New Writing and Australian Summer Stories.
In 2024 her short story, The Fruits of His Labour was shortlisted for the Nillumbik Prize for Contemporary Writing.
Penny is the co-writer and co-creator (with her sister, Kitty Flanagan) of the hit television series, Fisk. The third season of Fisk aired on ABC iView in late 2024 and set a new viewing record for the platform.
Series 1 & 2 were global top 10 hits for Netflix.
Penny also works in the corporate sector writing scripts, training materials and newsletters as well as producing videos.
