Music
1990 - 1993
In the early ‘90s, Penny was one-half of folk-pop duo, Club Hoy. Club Hoy released one critically acclaimed album and two EPs.
They were on high rotation on Triple J and they supported Nirvana on the Hordern Pavillion stage at the inaugural Big Day Out. A live recording of their hit single, Not Like That was included on JJJ Live at the Wireless Volume 2.
1993 - 1998
When Club Hoy disbanded Penny continued to record and tour with her own band. She released two solo albums and one EP. Her debut single Lap It Up came in at number 52 in the 1994 Triple J Hottest 100 and was included in that year’s compilation CD.
Beyond that …
Since 2013 Penny has toured with Kitty as part of her stand up comedy shows. She writes and performs original songs within each new live show.
Penny also wrote a portentous ode to climate change, under the guise of Roz Gruber, for Season 3 of Fisk.
